Public register

The Marine Management Organisation maintains a register containing the particulars prescribed in the Marine Licensing (Register of Licence Information) Regulations 2011. This information is held under Section 101 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.

Through our Marine Case Management System we publicise up-to-date information of:

• marine licence applications and decisions, this includes marine minerals extraction and renewable energy documents
• environmental impact assessment documents, including screening and scoping opinions and environmental impact assessment consent decisions
• number of wildlife licences issued.

We also maintain a register of harbour orders and an archive of licences and consents that were issued under the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 and Coast Protection Act 1949.

We also maintain information about selected cases, including copies of environmental statements, evidence summaries and correspondence.
